Learning Conference Key Stage 4
On Tuesday 22nd January our Year 11 students had a day at The Farmhouse in St Saviours working with a company called Learning Performance. The students were split into 3 groups and taken through a range of activities to help them to focus on how they learn and the best ways of memorising information. They were also given a variety of tips and techniques to use when revising for their forthcoming exams.
The students found the day extremely helpful and were open and responsive to all of the advice given. They now need to use the skills they acquired as they prepare for both their mock exams and the all important final GCSE exams this summer.
On Wednesday 23rd January a similar day was organised for our Year 10 students as it was felt that they too would benefit from the help and advice that ‘Learning Performance’ had to offer. We have not included Year 10 in these sessions before, but they too responded positively and enthusiastically to the day and now have a manual to use to help them to remember some of the techniques used.
