Charity
St Sampson’s Secondary School regularly supports a range of charities in a year and raises a substantial amount of money. The staff and students all get into the spirit of the day and organise activities designed to raise money. As a school we commonly raise over £600 for the chosen charity each time we support them. These charities include Big Kids Day, Pink Ladies, Children In Nedd, Red Nose Day, Rwanda as well as some lesser known causes such as Movember.
For the month of November, many of our male staff raised money for the charity ‘Movember’ by growing moustaches! Movember is a charity which raises awareness of and money towards research into male health issues, particularly prostate cancer.
By the end of November, the hirsute, dashing brigade were ready for a shave!
